Carolyn was admitted to Embassy of Marion from Dublin Methodist Hospital after having a total knee replacement. Carolyn participated in 21 days of intensive rehabilitation including upper extremity / lower extremity strengthening, neuromuscular re-education / balance training, ADL / self-care training, gait training, and stair training.
Physical Therapy Progress Summary: Carolyn initially required moderate assist for transfers and ambulation. She progressed to a modified independent functional level with transfers and cane for ambulation. She was also able to ascend/descend the stairs with modified independence in order to return to home.
Occupational Therapy Progress Summary: Carolyn initially required moderate / maximal assist for bathing/dressing and progressed to a modified independent functional level. She also required moderate/maximal assistance for toileting and progressed to a modified independent functional level.
